THREE friends accused of helping murder Jamie went to a rave after allegedly playing a part in his violent death, the court was told.

Chalk, Dwyer-Skeats and Woodmansey all took a train to Bournemouth in the early evening of Good Friday and spent the night partying, returning back to Southampton at 6.30am the following morning.

On Saturday they were joined again a the Bevois Mews squat by Nicholls who had brought a washing line to tie up the body.

Around midnight, jurors were told, two bins we taken from outside the property and wheeled inside. They were disturbed by neighbours but that didn't deter them, said Mr Fuller.

He told the court: "The wheelie bins from outside the flat were to be used to carry Jamie's body and the material from the flats down to the Empress Road industrial estate."

But the court heard how as they wheeled the bins they were confronted by officers in a passing police car who ordered that they put the bins back. The gang returned to the flat before venturing out again later, leaving Chalk behind who was texting Dwyer-Skeats telling him to come home because she was "lovesick".

The court heard how the bin with Jamie's body inside was tipped up and it fell out, legs first. The wheelie bin was thrown on top inside an industrial bin and petrol, bought by Nicholls and Woodmansey earlier in the day, was poured on top.

The bin was set alight but such was the effect that the three men ran away, forgetting to light the second bin containing blood stained evidence.
