ONE of Jamie Dack's alleged killers told police how he had been crying out in pain and begging them to stop hurting him before he died.

Ryan Woodmansey revealed details of the last hours of the 22-year-old's life following his arrest for murder on Easter Sunday last year.

He told officers how he returned from a rave in Bournemouth on the Saturday morning and was "off his face on drugs". He said it as his idea to get rid of the body from the squat in Bevois Mews because he "didn't want to get done for murder".

Jurors heard how during the attack he remembered putting a sock in Jamie's mouth to act as a gag to prevent him shouting out. He admitted stabbing him at least twice but claimed he wasn't present when Jamie died.

Asked about the events of Thursday April 5 when the assault began, Woodmansey told police Jamie had been tortured for his bank card PIN and later Lee Nicholls had held a knife against his throat as he demanded to know where his money was.

When police asked him about a Southampton FC plastic bag that was recovered, he told them it had been used to cover Jamie's head.

Prosecutor Jonathan Fuller QC, told the court: "they didn't want to see his face".

Mr Fuller continued: "he accepted that it had possibly been his intention to cause Jamie serious harm, and that he thought he had achieved that.he accepted that what had happened was a frenzied attack on a defenceless young man."
