Paula accused appears in court

THE man accused of the murder of Paula Poolton today made a brief appearance at Winchester Crown Court.

Roger Kearney, 56, of Painswick Close, Park Gate, is alleged to have murdered Ms Poolton, a Saints steward, last October and left her body in the boot of her car.

Today Kearney, dressed in a casual open necked shirt made no application for bail.

The judge Mr Justice Butterfield, remanded Kearney into custody at the end of the five minute hearing.

A plea and case management hearing is due to be held in Winchester on October 5.
