Tracy wins the competition but gives the prize to her in-laws
A Hampshire couple are celebrating the generosity of Daily Echo reader Tracy Morris who has given them a special golden wedding present.
Tracy won our competition for a romantic trip for two on a vintage carriage pulled by the restored Oliver Cromwell locomotive, below.
But the 44-year-old, from Totton, is to pass on the prize to her in-laws June and Ray Morris who celebrate 50 years of marriage next month.
The Daily Echo received hundreds of entries trying to win the £200 trip on locomotive 70013 when it steams into Southampton on May 30.
Tracy, said: “I’m so thrilled, it’s definitely worth having the Echo delivered every day, it’s paid for itself now, brilliant.”
