BRATTON Reserves suffered their first defeat of the season after they were beaten 5-0 at home by a very youthful Trowbridge Town Reserves outfit whose win sees them move into third place in the Division Three table.

Trowbridge took the game to their hosts from the first whistle and with strong displays from brothers Kieran and Aaron McCaldon, who were playing alongside each other in midfield, and man of the match Luke Mittens at centre half they bossed the game.

Bratton fell behind when they gave away a penalty for handball in the area, the spot kick was calmly converted by Lewis Smith.

The next two Trowbridge goals which earned them a 3-0 interval lead culminated from excellent pass and move football, throughout the team with Tom Moore getting the second and Jake Sainsbury finishing of a brilliant move.

The second period was much of the same, with Jake Sainsbury scoring a rare headed goal after a goalmouth scramble that made it 4-0 and the visitors' five-star performance was complete when Smith slotted home his second penalty of the afternoon after a foul on Sam Morris.

AFC Calne 0 Bradford United Reserves 10

BRADFORD United Reverses bounced back from their 13-0 defeat at the hands of Boomsbury FC last as they hit double figures themselves at FC Calne, who have lost all four of their matches to date and have conceded 28 goals.

Phil Radwell opened the scoring for a Bradford side who managed to find the target five times in each half.

Josh Williams, Stuart Williams and Aiden Lane scored one each.

Radwell scored a second to complete a double, Aaron Burbidge also scored twice with one of his goals coming from the penalty spot.

Elliott Hinton made up Bradford’s 10 with a hat-trick which came in the final 15 minutes of a match which was totally bossed by the winners.

Holt 7 Frome Town Sports A 0

STUART Faint’s Holt kept their unbeaten run intact with their fifth victory in five matches which sees them reside in pole position for another week at least.

Holt ran out convincing winners, but had Frome taken any of their many first-half chances the scoreline may have been a lot different.

Holt, in their own words, were lucky to go into the half time break three goals up as Frome had actually had the better of the first half.

Ollie Gee set Holt on their way, Russell Francis doubled the lead for the villagers before a second for Gee put them in charge.

The second period saw Holt hit four more unanswered goals, the first coming from Francis and the next from Gee which saw him complete his hat-trick.

Cameron Thomas scored his first goal for Holt to make it 6-0 and Lloyd Kettlety scored his team's final goal which was a farewell gift for the club before he goes back to university.

United FC 2 The Stiffs 0

A GOAL in each half earned United FC a 2-0 home success over The Stiffs who, since winning on the opening day of the season, have failed to trouble the scoreboard.

United under the guidance of Iljaz Iljazi are unbeaten in four games and are currently in second place.

Jacub Koman scored in the first half for United with Robert Pawlowski wrapping the points up with his second-half effort.

Taylor Davis 4 Westbury Town 2

TAYLOR Davis, who missed out on a fixture last weekend due to their pitch at Seymour Road in Trowbridge not being marked out, were back in action this weekend and they picked up their second win of the campaign. The sides couldn’t be separated after the first 45 minutes which ended 1-1 with Jason Povey putting Taylor Davis ahead before Josh Dowd restored parity.

Povey regained the lead for Taylor Davis but Westbury hit back to square things up for a second time and once more it was Dowd who found the target.

Darren Brewer edged Taylor Davis in front at 3-2 and although Westbury pressed forward looking for another equaliser they couldn’t find one.

And it was left to Povey to seal the points with his third of the game and the fourth for Taylor Davis to give them their 4-2 success.
