A HAMPSHIRE dad is on a mission to beat the disease that robbed him of his daughter and is back with his epic pub crawl.

Simon Hartley, from Blackfield, is preparing for the third pub crawl in honour of his daughter Stacey, who died of skin cancer in 2012, aged just 20.

Despite never being a sunbather, Stacey lost her battle against the disease just five months after being diagnosed, leaving her family heartbroken.

But ever since her death, they have made it their mission to continue her fight against the disease, raising money for both the British Skin Foundation and Oakhaven Hospice – where she was cared for during her illness.

Once again Stacey’s Live, Love, Laugh Charity Pub Walk will visit 12 Hampshire watering holes, starting from the Langley Tavern at 10.15am on June 28.

So far the event has raised at least £5,000 so this year her family hope to smash that target once again, by getting hundreds to join them along the way, which will include stops at The Boathouse and The Lord Nelson.

The event will finish at the Travellers Rest, at around 7.45pm.
