FOR more than two decades they have been tirelessly supporting Hampshire’s vulnerable young people.

In the past 12 months they have reached out to more than 5,500 young people on 42,000 separate occasions.

Now charity workers and those they have helped are busy planning how they will mark a special birthday milestone as No Limits turns 21.

The charity was founded in Shirley, Southampton in 1993 to provide information and counselling for youngsters and has since opened two more drop-in centres in Bernard Street, Southampton and in Sholing, to help those under the age of 26.

With demand continuing to grow, the organisation has also just been awarded a contract from Southampton City Council to run substance misuse services for young people in the city.

Annabel Hodgson, chief executive officer of No Limits who has been working with the charity since 1996 said: “I am really proud of all the work we have undertaken with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people over the last 21 years.

“The need for our services in Southampton and more recently across Hampshire has continued to grow; we are always doing our best to provide services that young people deserve."

The charity regularly visits schools and colleges across the county and runs specialist projects and free confidential services to support youngsters with a range of issues including education, employment, training, housing, money issues, health issues, domestic violence, and family and relationship concerns.
