Southampton Hospital Charity added a taste of celebrity to celebrate its seventh birthday .
Kate Henry, a quarter finalist in last year’s Great British Bake Off, took part in a fundraising event at the General Hospital.
Kate, known as the ‘Queen of Tarts’ for her prowess in the kitchen, judged cakes and gave tips to budding bakers.
Charity spokesman Donna Parsons said: “We’ve raised more money than any other year. At £1,960, it is already double the amount raised last year and there are still four cake sales to be held.”
The charity raises money for Southampton General and Princess Anne Maternity Hospital.
