HAVING your head shaved could be some people’s worst nightmare. But imagine braving the razor in front of all your co-workers too.

A learning support assistant at a Southampton school has done just that.

Michelle Edwards saw her locks fall to the floor in front of 300 children and more than 30 members of staff at Mansel Park Primary School.

And it was all in aid of Macmillan’s ‘Brave the Shave’ campaign.

Michelle was inspired to raise money for Macmillan when her uncle died from cancer.

She said: “I decided to have my head shaved because our family have recently been affected by the disease. I want to give something back to people who are suffering with cancer.

“My family have all been really supportive of my decision, both of my children attend the school and they couldn’t stop laughing when I told them my plan!”

The 45 year-old has raised more than £415 so far - already beating her target of £300.
