FRIENDS and family are gathering for a glamorous fundraiser in Southampton tonight to celebrate the life of a loved one.
Pals of Louise French, whose life was cut short by cancer, are staging a fashion evening to raise money for Cancer Research.
The 28-year-old, from Dibden Purlieu, battled cervical cancer for two years but died just days before Christmas in 2007.
Last summer her friends organised a night of luxury and pampering at the Royal British Legion Hall in Blackfield, raising £2,000 for Countess Mountbatten Hospice, where she spent her last days.
This time they are switching venues to the Novotel on West Quay Road in Southampton – and want as many people as possible to enjoy the fashion bonanza.
Bargain high street clothes, a raffle, gifts and craft stalls will all be part of the fun when hundreds flock to remember the talented graphic designer.
Only a few tickets are now available.
Organiser Patricia Renyard said: “This is just the kind of event Louise would have gone to herself.
“We had such a lot of good feed back last year and everyone felt we should do another one.”
Tickets for the event, at 7.30pm are available from Claire Sawle on 07834- 836994 or Patricia on 07984 451331 and cost £7.50.
