INJURED soldiers are set to benefit from a charity fishing match taking place in Hampshire.
The day-long event has been organised by two friends from the Army Training Regiment in Winchester who hope to raise hundreds of pounds for the Daily Echo-backed Help for Heroes charity.
Up to 35 people can take part in the competition at Green Ridge Farm Fisheries in Romsey – with places still available at a cost of £25 each.
Staff Sergeant Kev Williams, who has organised the event with his colleague, Lance Corporal Lee Noble, said that they came up with the fundraising idea because both have seen the impact on fellow soldiers injured on the frontline.
The lake has been provided free of charge for the event on Monday, September 20.
