STAFF at a Southampton doctors surgery have raised more than £1,800 for a cancer charity.
A ball was organised with live music, a compere and a raffle to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Bath Lodge practice sold 200 tickets for the night at the British Aerostructures social club in Hamble.
A team of workers from the Bitterne surgery rallied round to organise the venue and entertainment and raffle prizes were donated from local businesses.
Local band The Covers entertained guests with songs from The Who to Fratellis.
The surgery raised £1,000 before the night through ticket sales alone before raising a further £851 through the raffle.
