Hi I enjoyed reading the Echo regarding the Race for Life. I have taken part in this for the last 5 years.
I was a bit disappointed that I did not see any cameras taking photo's as I wanted my niece to be featured.
I am sure she must be the youngest ever participant. She is 14 months old and just learnt to walk the day before Race for Life.
Her race number was far too big for her so I painted her a special t-shirt. She had such a good day and even joined in with the warm up.
When she was walking down the finish line she received the loudest cheers I have ever heard from the crowd watching.
I registered Madalyn to do the Race for Life as she is named after her Great Granny who died of cancer before she was born. Madalyn will be taking part for every Race for Life from now on.
Hopefully next year she will be able to increase the amount that she walks.
Which will save my arms from carrying her.
Between the two of us we have raised over £300.
