SOUTHAMPTON looked pretty in pink as women of all ages were urged to make this year’s Race for Life bigger and better than ever.
Volunteers from Cancer Research UK were out in force, recruiting women to become part of the biggest female-only team in the country.
This year Race for Life in Southampton takes place on July 11 at Southampton Common, and aims to get 10,000 females to put their best foot forward and help to raise £526,000.
With the event now officially open, shoppers in WestQuay were encouraged to sign up with friends, family and colleagues.
Christina Tomlinson, from Cancer Research UK, said: “Women of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes take part in Race for Life. They motivate and inspire each other to complete the 5k course.”
