Burglar strikes at home
A neighbour called police after spotting a burglar inside the house next door but he had managed to flee with a haul of goods before they arrived.
The thief stole more than £1,500 of jewellery and electronics including three rings and an Ipod Nano when he broke into the house in Weston Grove Road, Southampton.
The man was wearing a blue top, thought to be a hoody, and struck on Thursday November 15 just before 4.30pm. Anyone with information is asked to call DC David Wheeler at Bitterne CID on 101.

If I'd have caught him in the act it's indescribable (and unpublishable) what I would have done to him, suffice to say I'd have taken full advantage of the new homeowner laws and he's have been leaving either in an ambulance or (more likely) a body bag...
