A HUSKY dog has been dognapped from the back garden of a Hampshire home.

The next day the owners of two year old Sasha then received a call from an unidentified man who withheld his phone number demanding £250.

He claimed he was selling it back to them for the same amount he bought it for.

He then told the owner he would report buying her name.

But no report was made to the police and the owner has not heard again from the caller.

The animal was last seen in the rear garden of its home in Byron Road, in Thornhill, Southampton, on Saturday at about 9.20am.

Today Bitterne police are appealing for sightings of Sasha or if anyone who has been offered her.

The dog is thin, with a grey white and brown coat and in season, with a very noticeable white mark on her right eye.

She has a red and white fabric collar and a gold barrel tag containing the owner's name and contact details.

Anyone who has information about the missing Husky can contact PC Sarah Brazier at Bitterne police station on 101.
