A MAN was beaten unconscious during a fight at a Christmas party.
The 30-year-old is understood to have been out celebrating the festivities with colleagues at a party in a marquee in Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh, when the trouble broke out on Saturday night.
It is understood the incident escalated outside the premises, where several different organisations were holding their Christmas parties, and ended up with the victim left lying on the ground.
Police were called at about 11.30pm following reports of a fight and found the injured man, who was from Gosport.
Three men were arrested at the scene and taken for questioning by police.
A man, aged 33, from Gosport, was later released without further action while a man, aged 30, was cautioned.
Shane Warrener, 38, from St Mary’s Road in Portsmouth was, however, charged with using threatening words and behaviour and assaulting a police officer. He will appear in court on January 16.
