POLICE are anxious to trace a group of youths who went to the aid of an assault victim.

A 33-year-old woman and a 38-year-man were walking along Station Road in New Milton when they were confronted by a man who was drunk. He kicked the woman, bruising her leg.

Police are trying to trace a group of young men who walked the couple home.

Call PC Benjamin Clark at New Milton police station on 101.
