POLICE were called to a fight between two students close to a college.

Officers attended after they were told a large group of people were gathered in Desborough Road, Eastleigh, and that there was some sort of disturbance between students.

Police spoke to witnesses and said the incident, at about 12.30pm on Thursday, appeared to have been a disagreement between two students who took their differences outside the college and had a fight watched by onlookers.

An Eastleigh College spokesman said that the students were school pupils who had attended the college for an event that morning.

No one was reported injured and no formal police action was taken.

Police said those involved were being dealt with internally by the college.
