Hampshire police cordon off Southampton's East Park after man and woman found unconscious
2:52pm Wednesday 30th January 2013 in Crime

Park sealed off after pair found unconscious
TWO people have been taken to hospital after being found unconscious in a Southampton park.
Police have sealed off the area around the tennis courts in East Park, after the man and woman were discovered shortly after 1pm.
One was laid out on the grass and the other on a park bench.
Ambulance crews were called to the city centre scene and have taken the pair to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
The man and woman were spotted by someone from the nearby Southampton Solent University, who called the emergency services.
It is not yet known how old either the man or woman is, or what caused their conditions.
A Hampshire police spokesman said the area where they were discovered has been cordoned off while it is established whether any crime has been committed.

All you can do is to make sure they are safe, get them an ambulance & hope they wake up in the morning.
At the end of the day no matter how misguided they seem to the average Joe, they are still somebodies son & daughter.

And yet without any reports of who these people are there's already spectulation about the fact that they're probably addicts.
It's nevertheless astounding how the attitude in these comments suggests that just because they may have addiction issues they're the scum of the earth and deserve whatever they get. Wow.

Everyone's eager to jump on the 'druggie' bandwagon, but what's to say these people weren't students? Or had it failed to catch your attention about that the fact this incident is directly between two university buildings?
