A MAN who twice attacked a woman in Winchester and destroyed her clothes has received a suspended jail sentence.
Lyndon Simmons, 24, now of Old Kempshott Lane, Basingstoke, admitted two assaults on Helen Pilling last February, one at St Swithun’s School and the other at a house in Longfield Road, Winnall.
He also admitted destroying clothing belonging to Ms Pilling.
Magistrates at Basingstoke jailed him for 16 weeks suspended for 18 months and ordered he pay £500 compensation for the clothing, an £80 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
