AN elderly couple were burgled as they were sat in their lounge watching television.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the thieves entered the home in College Road, Woolston, via the back door and took two laptops from the dining room.

The computers stolen were a black Lenovo worth around £360 and a pink LG Netbook LGX110 worth £200. The battery for the netbook is black and does not match the body.

A bottle of white wine and a bottle of Mazipan Liquor were also stolen.

It took place between 4.15pm and 6.15pm on Sunday, March 16. The couple knew nothing about it until they found the laptops missing later.

Police believe more than one person was involved as three males, one wearing a grey hoody, were seen acting suspiciously in the area earlier in the day.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call DC David Wheeler at Bitterne CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
