A REWARD of £5,000 has been put up in a bid to find the killer of a Hampshire mum.

The charity Crimestoppers has this morning announced it is now offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of who ever is responsible responsible for the murder of Pennie Davis.

Pennie was murdered a week ago to the day in the New Forest. Her body was found in a paddock by Leygreen Farm by her husband Pete.

The 47-year-old mum of five had been tending her horse when she was attacked and suffered multiple stab wounds.

Julia Hughes, Regional Manager for Crimestoppers, said: “We urgently need to find whoever it is that committed this horrendous crime. Pennie's family is totally bereft and need answers. We would urge anyone with information to contact us anonymously, safe in the knowledge that their identity will not be revealed.”

Detective Superintendent Paul Barton said: “We're really fortunate to have the support of Crimestoppers who have assisted us in putting up this reward. One would hope you should not need to make money available for people to come forward and help with such a brutal crime, but it may be that people are scared to do so.”

Crimestoppers the reward will be offered for anyone who provides information passed through the charity's telephone number or via an online form that leads to the arrest and charge of those responsible.
