POLICE are appealing for information after the victim of a burglary in Hampshire came home to find an old woman sat in her living room.

The 79-year-old victim returned to her house in Gosport to find an old woman inside and three men coming downstairs with a pillow case sized bag bulging with stolen goods.

The men and woman then left the house in Masten Crescent and drove off in a large silver car.

After they left, the elderly victim noticed some of her jewellery was missing in her bedrooms including a necklace with tiny gold droplets from the chain, a gold ring and several pairs of earrings, with one emerald pair in a silver case and another with blue sapphire stones and a silver photo frame with no image inside was also taken.

The burglary happened on Wednesday, December 10 between 9am and 11am and the three men were all described as being smartly dressed.

One man, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, was wearing a grey suit and is described as slim and tall with brown hair which was slicked back.

The other two were smartly dressed in jackets and trousers and the woman is described as scruffy looking, and needed the men to help her get out of the chair.
