A MAN was this afternoon being questioned after a man was injured after he was hit by a mobility on a Hampshire street.

As reported by the Daily Echo an appeal was launched by Hampshire police to find the driver of the scooter who hit a 67-year-old man before then driving over him a second time, breaking his knee and ankle.

Customers inside a nearby ice cream parlour came to the man's aid after he was assaulted in what police believe was a targeted attack on Portswood Road on Monday afternoon.

Detectives investigating the incident confirmed that a 66-year-old man from Southampton wasbeing questioned by officer in connection with the inquiry.
