A MAN was rushed to hospital after being injured in a hit and run crash in Southampton.
The victim is being treated at Southampton General Hospital for a fractured arm after he was hit by a silver Ford Focus in Rownhams Road at around 5.15pm yesterday (Aug 4).
The vehicle failed to stop and police believe it may have front end damage as a result of the crash Detective Inspector Nick Plummer said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to come forward. This is a busy time of day and a busy route within the city; someone must have seen what happened and can help us identify who is responsible.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a vehicle which could have been involved. The injuries to the victim could have been much more serious.”
Anyone with information should contact the Western Investigation team at Southampton Central Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
