Hampshire men arrested after assault on police officers
A PAIR of Hampshire men have been arrested after two police officers were assaulted at the scene of a crash.
Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to a van crash in Hungerford after the vehicle ended up in a ditch but were attacked and taken to hospital.
One man, aged 45, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Both are from Hampshire and the incident took place on Sunday.
