DETECTIVES hunting two brothers in connection with an acid attack on a woman in Southampton have today offered a £5,000 reward for information to trace them.

Billy and Geoffrey Midmore are wanted in connection with a horrific attack on 37-year-old Carla Whitlock in Guildhall Square near Turtle Bay restaurant.

The mother-of-six sustained extensive burn injuries and may never regain the sight in her right eye.

She has been released from Southampton General Hospital but is still coming to terms with her h injuries.

Now police are willing to pay £5,000 to anyone who can give them information which could lead to the arrest of both men.

Both brothers are from London but are known to have links in Southampton, Basingstoke and the South East.

Hampshire police have launched extensive enquiries across the county, Kent and in London working alongside police forces in the South East area following the attack at 9pm on Friday, September 18.

Detective Inspector Will Whale, leading the investigation, said: "We are offering a £5000 reward to anyone who gives us information that leads to the arrest of these two men.

"We have had a tremendous response from members of the public, and we’d like to thank them for coming forward and speaking to us, and for sharing our appeals on social media and we’d ask them to continue doing so.

“However, we still think there are people out there that know something about where they are, but haven’t yet come forward and spoken to us.  We hope this reward will encourage them to come and tell us what they know.

“We have circulated these men nationally as wanted persons and the borders are closed to them.  We have every reason to believe they are still in the country and are still focusing on the south east of England.  Our team are working relentlessly to find these two men and we would ask them to give themselves up.  It’s only a matter of time 'til we find you, so come and speak to us now.”

Both men are white and of stocky build.

Billy is 5ft 8ins tall, with blue eyes and a scar on his left arm. He speaks with a London accent.

Geoffrey is 5ft 1ins tall, with green eyes and a scar on the right side of his face and has a tattoo on his hand.

A manhunt for the 'dangerous' brothers was launched a week ago with officers scouring much of the south of England.

They are wanted in connection with the acid attack on 37-year-old Carla Whitlock who received life-changing injuries after the incident outside Turtle Bay in Southampton on September 18.

She has now been released from hospital following treatment for extensive burn injuries and has been told she may never regain the sight in one eye.
