A PENSIONER has been left with life threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Southampton.
The 73-year-old was knocked down in Above Bar on Saturday morning and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police say she was hit by a silver Skoda Octavia at about 9.25am, leaving her with a “significant” head injury.
She was taken to Southampton General Hospital and is currently in a life-threatening condition.
PC Mike McRoyall, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to come forward and speak to us. Did you witness the collision? Do you have any information which could assist our investigation? Please call us on 101 quoting 44150387381.”
