A FORMER Saints star has been banned from driving after being caught speeding.
Jamie Redknapp has been stopped from getting behind the wheel for six months after he was found to be doing more than the 50mph temporary speed limit on the M25 in his Bentley.
The ex-England midfielder admitted the offence and was given six penalty points and fined £700 and ordered to be £75 court costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
As he already had six points on his licence, the punishment took him to a total of 12 points, meaning he had to have his licence revoked for six months.
Any driver who gets 12 or more points inside three years gets an automatic ban from driving.
Redknapp, 42, played for Saints in 2005, during the ultimately unsuccessful battle against relegation from the Premier League.
His dad Harry, was manager at the time.
