A WOMAN has been arrested after a stabbing in Southampton last night.
Police were called around 9.15pm Friday night to Palm Road, near Southampton General Hospital, to reports of an assault were someone had been stabbed.
A 43-year-old woman was last night arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and resisting or preventing arrest.
A 22-year-old man was rushed to Southampton General Hospital with stab wounds to his chest and upper right arm.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and to resist/prevent arrest.
"We were called to a report of an assault were a woman had allegedly stabbed a man in the chest and upper right arm causing non-life threatening injuries."
