CARS parked along a Southampton road have been damaged after yobs went on an overnight wrecking spree.

Wing mirrors were broken off a number of vehicles that were parked along Oakwood Drive in Lordswood.

A total of seven cars were damaged during the attack that is believed to have been carried out by a group of youths.

The group was seen trying to force open a garage door but when they were disturbed they ran off along the road, damaging several parked cars as they did so.

At least six had their wing mirrors broken off during the crime spree that happened just after midnight on January 23.

The youths are described as being aged between 15 and 17-years-old and walked off towards Woburn Road.

One is described as being a white male, around 5ft 7ins, of a medium build, with scruffy blonde hair and wearing a waist length black coat.

Another of the youths is described as being a male, around 5ft 5ins tall and wearing a grey tracksuit with stripes down the side.

A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: “Were you in the area at the time? Did you see a group of youths acting suspiciously? Do you know the youths involved?

“Please contact Hampshire police if you have any formation you believe could help.”
