AN ELDERLY woman has been attacked by a dog in a park.
The 77-year-old pensioner was bitten by an German Shepherd type dog as it passed her on a walk in the park near Canal Walk in Romsey.
She suffered two-puncture wounds and bruising.
She told the dog's owner, a man described as in his 60s, what had happened but no further conversation took place.
Police say the dog is thought to be a medium-sized German Shepherd type dog with a light coloured face.
Its owner is described as white, of average height and build and wearing dark clothing and a hat.
PC Victoria Dennett said: “Were you in the park near Canal Walk on Thursday afternoon and did you see anything? Maybe you recognise the description of this owner or dog?
Anyone with information on the incident, which happened on Thursday at around 2.30pm is asked to call 101.
