DETECTIVES have launched a murder investigation following the death of six-year-old Keziah Flux-Edmonds on Wednesday.

But officers say the death of dad Darren is not being treated as suspicious.

The pair were found at their home in Cromwell Avenue, East Cowes, on Wednesday.

A post-mortem has revealed Darren Flux-Edmonds, 44, died of hanging at their home in Cromwell Avenue, East Cowes.

No one else is being sought in relation to Keziah's death.

Detective Inspector Simon Baker said: “We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident and our specialist officers are continuing to support family members.”

Keziah's post-mortem examination, carried out yesterday, brought "undetermined" results and further tests will follow, Hampshire Constabulary said.

Keziah, who dreamed of becoming Elsa from Frozen, was discovered at her four-bedroomed house, unconscious but still alive with her dead father Darren Flux-Edmonds, 44 on Wednesday around 10am.

She was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital but doctors were not able to save her and she died later that day.

The pair were found next to two dead ‘terrier-type’ dogs believed to be called Maximus and Arnie, in what police have described as an “isolated” incident.

Keziah’s family are now being offered support from specialist officers as Hampshire Constabulary launch an investigation into the deaths.

It is believed Darren and Nikki had split up just weeks ago after being married for over 10 years as Mr Flux-Edmonds posted messages on his Facebook in April relating to a possible split.
