POLICE have arrested three people after drugs raids on two homes.

Officers swooped on two houses in Romsey and North Baddesley as part of an ongoing drugs investigation.

At a home in Portersbridge Street in Romsey yesterday they arrested a 54-year-old man from the town on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Meanwhile a 53-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, both from North Baddesley, were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs after a further raid at a home in Brownhill Road, North Baddesley.

Sergeant Vicky Dennett, from Test Valley Neighbourhood Policing team, said: “I would like to reassure the community that there is not a huge drugs problem in the Romsey area.

“However, we are committed to taking robust action against those suspected of being involved in the supply of drugs.

“We would encourage anyone with information about drugs in the community to report it, as the more we know, the more we can do something about it.”

The man arrested in Romsey has been released on bail until August 24 while the man detained in North Baddesley has been bailed until August 23.

The woman was released with no further action.
