POLICE are appealing for the public's help to track down a missing former prisoner who may be in Hampshire.

Henry Williams is being sought by police after failing to attend approved accommodation after being released from prison.

The 24-year-old, also known as Henry Butler, was last seen on June 7 in Banbury, Oxfordshire, but police believe he may be in Portsmouth.

He is described as white, 5ft 10ins, thin, with short fair wavy hair and a scraggly beard.

He has tattoos on both arms and wrists and a scar on the left side of his face. 

Investigating officer Det Sgt Lee Newman said: “We are very keen to trace Henry.

"He has failed to appear at his approved residence following his release from prison.

“He is known to frequent the Banbury and areas in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

“We would like to hear from anyone who recognises Henry or knows of his whereabouts and ask them to contact us as a matter of urgency.”

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 1211 07/06/16.
