MORE than £11,000 worth of mobile phones were stolen from a shop in Southampton.
The burglars struck at Go Mobile in Shirley High Street, gaining entry to the store through a sky light on the roof.
Having forced it open, they smashed their way through an internal wall to access a cupboard before stealing about £11, 000 worth of mobile phones.
The burglary happened between 6pm on July 7 and 8.25am the following morning.
Police have appealed for information and released two CCTV images in a bid to track down the burglars.
PC Sharath Ranjan said: “We know that the images are not of a great quality but we hope that someone might recognise something which could help our investigation.
“We also want to speak to anyone who was in the area that evening and may have seen people acting suspiciously, as well as anyone who has been offered a mobile phone for sale in unusual circumstances.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Sharath on 101, quoting reference 44160253853.
- NOTE: Hampshire police had initially said that £1,100 worth of phones were stolen.
