A GANG threatened shop staff before fleeing with cash, alcohol and cigarettes early this morning.
Officers are investigating a report of a robbery at People's Market in West Street, Hambledon.
They were called at 7.16am yesterday (Sunday) to a report that three men had entered the store and threatened a member of staff.
Cigarettes, alcohol and a quantity of cash were taken from the shop before the men left the scene.
Nobody was injured in the robbery.
The investigation is in its early stages and enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of what took place.
