A MAN has been arrested after a cash transit van was robbed and a security guard was rushed to hospital.
Police have arrested a 22-year-old man from Southampton after the guard was hit with a weapon on Friday morning outside the Balmoral Inn in Nursling.

The robbers drove away from the scene on Romsey Road after taking money from the guard.
Officers are still investigating the robbery, which they say was carried out by either two or three people.
The security guard was then rushed to hospital after sustaining minor injuries to his hand.
