A MAN who fled police trespassed on to Southampton Central Station before being caught by the authorities.
Londoner Kareem Howard pleaded guilty to entering the railway on January 13 as well as being in possession of cannabis.
Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard that Howard had initially failed to appear for an earlier hearing and was arrested in London.
Prosecuting, Sital Mond said Greenwich-based Howard had been at a friend’s party when he heard a bang on the door and saw police enter the property, the 21-year-old “took flight” and tried to climb across the train station to get away.
She added: “Thankfully nobody was hurt and police who found him searched him. They seized cannabis which appeared small enough for personal use.”
Howard, of Whitworth Road, was fined £150 and was ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge.
