A “HOSTILE and volatile” teen slapped and punched her ex after subjecting him to hours of abuse.

Chelsea Skinner became “rude and obnoxious” when she returned from a drinking session in Fareham on September 19.

Her partner, Simon Ash went to pick her up but when they returned home she hit him leaving him “sore and slightly tender”.

Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard that Skinner, 18, had recently moved in with Mr Ash after they met through Facebook.

Prosecuting, Daniel O’Neill told the court she was often “hostile and volatile” when drinking.

He said: “Mr Ash returned home at about 6.30pm but Miss Skinner was not there. He believed she was angry at him as she had not spoken to him all day. He went around a friend’s house as he couldn’t get in the house.

“She then got in contact and said she wanted picking up. When he arrived to pick her up in Fareham, he was waiting for about 20 minutes and she became rude and obnoxious. Clearly to him she had been drinking.”

Mr O’Neill added: “They got home at about 8.30pm and she continued to be rude and abusive towards him. When it came to about 10pm, Mr Ash then told her a few home truths and she didn’t react well - slapping and punching him.”

In a statement read by Mr O’Neill, Mr Ash said he “never expected to be hit...she loved me before assaulting me.”

Skinner, of St Vincent Road, Gosport, who had no previous convictions and struggled with mental health problems, admitted assault. She was fined £50 and ordered to pay £50 costs plus a £30 victim surcharge.

The court heard she “accepted she drank to excess”.
