A SALESMAN was caught making off without paying for petrol four times in four months.

Adam Roberts was also found to be driving while disqualified from driving and without third party insurance.

The 33-year-old’s offending began in May and continued into August, where he avoided making payments at Rownhams and Winchester service stations.

Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard that Roberts had been disqualified from driving in September after using a mobile phone at the wheel.

He pleaded guilty to all charges against him.

Roberts, of Park Lane, Lymington, was given a 12-month community order, must carry out 175 hours of unpaid work, disqualified from driving for 28 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £85 victim surcharge.
