POLICE have launched a manhunt after a "frightening" knifepoint robbery in Southampton.
A man pushed into a home and had a knife pulled on him by the robber, who demanded money.
He handed over around £100 in cash before the robber left.
The victim, in his 20s, was stood outside an address on Burton Road, Polygon, when he was approached by the man.
He was then pushed him into the house, before the robber pulled the blade from his waistband.
Police say the incident took place around 6.45pm on Saturday, March 17.
They are now hunting the robber, who is described white, around 6ft 4ins, in his mid 20s, with a tanned complexion and a black beard / stubble.
He was wearing a black hooded coat that was zipped at the front, and black trousers at the time.
Detective Constable Russell Smith, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim, where the offender has pushed him into the address and demanded money while threatening him with a knife.
“This incident occurred in Burton Road, which is a dead end side road connected to Milton Road in the Polygon area. There is a path that leads out on to Archers Road, at the junction of Northlands Road, which the suspect may have used.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have seen a person matching the description in the area 6.45pm and 7pm on Saturday.
"I would urge anyone with information to call us as soon as possible quoting incident number 44180101086.”
