POLICE are hunting a man who approached a ten-year-old boy near a Southampton park this afternoon.
Officers say the incident happened at the St James's Park end of Bellemoor Road, Shirley, shortly after 3pm.
A police spokesman said: "We were called after a report of a man approaching a young boy and behaving suspiciously.
"The man ran off down Bellemoor Road in the direction of Hill Lane.
"We are trying to establish the circumstances."
Anyone with information is asked to call Hampshire police on 101 quoting reference number 592.
