TEENAGER Brandon Atkins has been ordered to pay compensation after being convicted of threatening behaviour in Winchester.

Atkins, 18, of Freshwater, Isle of Wight, had denied threatening Ousman Jatta in Winchester on January 11 but was convicted after a trial at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.

Atkins also admitted the same charge against Ann Kelly at Winchester Discovery Centre on January 12 and against Daniel Cottle at an address in St George's Street on January 12.

He also pleaded guilty to criminal damage to furniture owned by the city council on February 6 and at the Trinity Centre on Durngate on February 16, to the value of £1,000.

Magistrates ordered Atkins pay £85 compensation to Trinity and imposed a community order for up to 20 days rehabilitation activity requirement as well as 45 hours unpaid work. There was norder for a victim surcharge because of his lack of means.
