Burglars stole a safe during a late night raid on a Southampton vets.
Police are investigating the incident which happened at The Vet Southampton practice in Auckland Road, Millbrook.
Cash was stolen from a till and coffe machine and a small safe was taken.
Staff arrived at 8am to find that intruders had broken in through a side window into the reception area of the practice and documents were strewn across the floor.
A nurse at the practice said: "We came in this morning and found it like this and phoned the police immediately."
No animals are kept on the premises overnight and the vets are currently closed while police continue to investigate the scene.
Police enquiries are on-going.
