A POST mortem carried out this afternoon on the body of a man who was found in a stream has proved inconclusive.
Officers are now undertaking further investigative work to try and establish what exactly happened to the man and to establish if the death is suspicious.
The body was discovered early evening by a dog walker in a stream in an area of woodland off Coxford Road, Shirley on Tuesday, July 20.
A police spokesman said that the area would remain sealed off while the investigation continued.
They have revealed that the body had been there for some time and officers had yet to establish who the man was.
