Man left with fractured cheek bone after attack
A MAN was attacked in Southampton as he made his way home after a night out.
The 32-year-old victim was near the junction of Portswood Road and Harefield Road in Swaythling, when three white men all wearing dark clothes attacked him.
According to police, he is unable to remember much of what happened but it’s believed the men used some sort of object to attack him.
The victim, who was wearing a yellow top at the time, ended up with a fractured cheek bone and bruises and cuts and was found sometime later wandering confused in High Road. Police were called along with an ambulance and he was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the attack which happened sometime between 12.45am and 1.30am on Sunday, May 13 or anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Detective Constable Olivia Lucas at Bitterne CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
