According to many people posting on this site, all immigrants are bone idol scroungers. I wonder how their fuddled brains will cope with this one- an illegal immigrant who would seem to have made a real lasting contribution to society by taking care of vulnerable and elderly folk- doing a job that many indigenous English can`t be bothered to do because of the low wages. Let this man stay here- he's earned it

There is probably more to this story than the Echo is reporting. I hear you all say “7 days a week working”, I can believe this & properly doing 24/7 !. I work in the Care sector & have done for 16 years now, one of the things foreign workers do is sign on for several agencies for care work, they will work with one agency during the day & another during the night & the same weekends, I know this as several years ago I was working a wake-night shift & my co worker came in who also was doingg a wake-night, the manager of the home had seen the same worker at a different home that day working for a different agency under a different name, he was suppose to be doing a wake night after doing a 12 hour day shift !, he was instantly taking off the shift & both agencies informed. How they do it is normally they have 2 middle names & swap there Christian/Surname around & middle name to there surname, sorry to say I suspect this still goes on.

Pay attention: Victoria's a woman not a man. And of course she shouldn't be allowed to stay here to benefit from her illegal stay and encourage everyone else to follow her here. There are plenty of Eastern Europeans from the EU and legally here who can take her place.

If you had used your fuddled brain and read the story, you would seen it was a woman.

This person was making a contribution to society, and was not relying on hand-outs, and when she is assessed by the immigration authorities, I hope that this is taken into consideration.

It seems a strange situation where a person who has proved that they are both capable of being able to work, and are willing to work, could face deportation, but someone who is here illegally, is preaching hate and intollerance, can stay because deporting them would breach their human rights.

If I was an illegal in his country I wonder how I would be treated! I reckon I'd be homeward bound.

The fact that she worked 7 days a week caring for our elderly is irrelevent as she needed to work to support herself. She set out to deceive our country by posing as another and had no intention of returning to her country after her visa had expired. Send her back.

You need a passport or a visa to be here legally.

Without those you are an illegal and should be deported regardless of whether youre working illegally with the old, in a cafe, in a factory, selling drugs or a criminal.

Rules is rules..........and we are all bound by them.

I agree with you Al. Zimbabwe has been reduced to a police state under Mugabe, and it is quite conceivable that this person's life would be put at risk if she is sent back. That is surely a good enough reason for her to be considered an asylum seeker as opposed to a financial migrant.

I knew someone who out stayed thwrw visa they had then been her 7 years apparently after 10 years toy can apply to stay. So the home offive kept him out of detention on bail for 3 years then let him stay. I also hear if there is fear of death or violence from theyre country they can apply to stay.

It's not about immigrants being bone idle scroungers - it's about immigrants taking the jobs that school leavers with few qualifications depended on finding to get them started and earn a few bob. Now there are areas where there are no unqualified jobs at all and school leavers get into gangs and drugs because they are disillusioned and abandoned, and they have no self respect. Who pays to sort out that mess? It will take decades to fix.
Political activists who claim unlimited immigration is good for Britain because immigrants pay taxes etc are either stupid or they are lying. This woman shouldn't be here but I am sure a tribunal will allow her to remain because the tribunals are made up of the same human rights activists who wanted this mass immigration in the first place.
