Driver’s three-year ban Driver’s three-year ban

AN Alresford man has been banned from driving for three years after being caught drink-driving in Winchester.

Mark Prescott, 40, of Ashburton Road, was caught driving a VW Golf in Wales Street, Winnall on August 28, Andover Magistrates’ Court heard.

He was found to have 78 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, more than twice the legal limit. Prescott admitted the charge.

As well as the driving ban, magistrates fined Prescott £100 and imposed costs of £85 and a £15 victim surcharge.

They reduced the ban by 39 weeks if before October 27 2014 he completes a driving course.
